You’ve gone through the process of getting your website designed and launched!

Congratulations! This is really exciting, because you now have a place that houses all your information. That will allow your potential clients/customers to learn more about you and your business. If design and functionality wrapped in quality content is done well, then you will be able to generate leads.

However you need to get them there right? You need to drive traffic to your awesome website, and if you find you are hearing crickets, I have five ways to help you drive traffic to your website.

1.Start a blog and share your posts on Social Media

This is a great way to not only drive traffic to your website but to show up as an expert in your field. Once you create your incredibly valuable piece of content. Share your blog posts on Social Media. Spread it on multiple platforms to allow for a bigger reach. However the number one platform to utilise is Pinterest, which is not actually a social media platform but a search engine, and the number one platform to drive traffic to your website.

2. Email Marketing

Evoke a sense of curiosity from your email list by, adding a blurb of your blog post, with a “Read more" button underneath, pushing them towards your website. Send these out when you release a new blog post so your community can keep up to date when you add some new and valuable content.

3. Guest Post

Research someone who inspires you or would benefit from having you as a guest blogger. This allows you to extend your reach to a new audience and again build credibility. The number one thing though is that you will be credited (make sure you are) which will then draw people in, if they want to know more about your topic.

4. Ads

Utilise fb and Instagram ads, if you’ve tried before and it didn’t work, re-evaluate who you were targeting. Was your reach too wide? Or take a course and find out how to use them effectively for your business.

5. Use keywords & utilise SEO

Use keywords within your blog post, ensuring that it’s keywords someone would enter when searching the web. Ensure these keywords are used in the URL, the headline, and body of your post. This will help increase your ranking online and drive traffic from Google. In terms of Pinterest, ensure that the description of the pin has keywords that people would search so you have more of a chance of showing up for them.
